Together, we’re sparking girls’ curiosity about space and inspiring them to reach for the stars.
Our Girls' Attitudes Survey found that lots of girls dream of being astronauts or scientists. But did you know that 1 in 5 girls feel held back in school?
Half of these girls feel that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) subjects are ‘more for boys’, and many don't think there are enough women role models in the field. That's why Girlguiding and the UK Space Agency are teaming up. We want to show girls that they can be anything they want to be – a galaxy of possibilities awaits!
How we work together
Girlguiding and UK Space Agency are embarking on an extraordinary mission to inspire and empower girls with the wonders of space.
From workshops to the new unit activities, girls will have the opportunity to engage in unique space-themed experiences that will expand their horizons.
As part of this partnership, we will also introduce girls to amazing role models who have achieved incredible things in the space industry. These inspiring individuals will show our girls that they too can leave their mark in the cosmos.
Our journey doesn’t end there! The UK Space Agency will also share a range of exciting opportunities and events with girls to further fuel their interest in space. They can dive deeper into the mysteries of the universe and connect with like-minded space enthusiasts.

To earn this badge, Brownies will need to complete three exciting challenges that will take them on a cosmic journey.
