Let it snow! What we got up to at Sparkle and Ice

There was plenty of frosty fun – and even some sun – at our extreme winter camp last weekend. Our members give us the lowdown.

Last weekend girls from across the UK proved that our members really are a hardy bunch

They braved the recent snow to enjoy our extreme winter camp, Sparkle and Ice, at our activity centres Blackland Farm, Foxlease and Waddow Hall. They were rewarded with lots of frosty fun including zip-lining, inflatables, abseiling, fireworks, REAL snow and even some glorious winter sunshine. And of course there were campfires and s'mores to warm everybody up ❄

We asked girls and their units to share what they got up to with us on Twitter #SparkleAndIce. Here’s the highs (and the low temperatures).

There was REAL sparkle and ice

The recent snow brought some real-life winter magic to Sparkle and Ice.

Ways to warm up and keep cosy

Whether round a campfire, with a hot chocolate or wrapped up warm in a tent, there's nothing like getting cosy when it's cold.

Activities to get your blood pumping

Girls could try zip-wires, abseiling, inflatable obstacle courses, dancing and more.

Lots of ooooooos and ahhhhhhhs

Fireworks!

And amazing volunteers deserving of a well-earned rest

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers - it simply couldn't happen without you!

See you next year!
